Course Overview
This is a specialist Foundation Degree designed for adults wanting to
progress towards a professional degree within the health and social care
sector.
It has been designed in response to the rapidly changing
workforce demands and policy initiatives aimed at modernising services and
improving quality, productivity and efficiency. It covers both the academic and
work-based competencies that are relevant to a multitude of roles within health
and social care settings.

Why study with us?
After completion of this programme, you may be eligible to access specific
professional degree programmes at Sheffield Hallam University, such as Adult
Nursing, Social Work and various Allied Health Professions, with Advanced Entry
to Year 2. This is subject to a successful progression interview and completing
a recognition of prior learning claim.
In addition, you could progress to
a top-up year at Sheffield Hallam University, to achieve a BSc (Hons)
Professional Practice in Health and Social Care.

Entry requirements
- A-Level (EEE Grade Profile)
- BTEC Level 3 (PPP or MP Grade Profile)
- Access to HE Diploma – 45 Graded Credits at Pass
- GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and maths
- Applications may be considered to those who hold equivalent
qualifications.
